GO3 Electronic & Entertainment Expo 2009, Borderlands Hands-On

My hometown of Perth, Western Australia has for 3 years now been home to GO3, an entertainment expo which had hoped to become the Asia-Pacific’s primary gaming convention and exhibition. 2007’s inaugural event was poorly received by the gaming media, as expectations were raised too high. As a first-time event, it wasn’t terrible. It just wasn’t very good.

PC release of Borderlands sees 1-week delay

Some mildly disappointing news for PC gamers eagerly awaiting Borderlands today, with 2K Games’ Senior PR Manager Charlie Sinhaseni reporting to IGN that the one week delay is a result of optimisations for the game’s PC release. Sliding from October 20 to October 26 in the US, and from October 23 to October 30 worldwide, the additional wait is short, but hopefully worthwhile in terms of performance.

The FPS/RPG’s console releases remain unaffected.
