New Pokemon games come to US March 14, come with Pokewalker

The latest Pokémon titles, HeartGold and SoulSilver, have been out in Japan since September, and racking up sales.

So far, the rest of the world has missed out, but no longer: the US release date is March 14. Better still for series fans, the Pokewalker peripheral – a pedometer which rewards walking (or, for the sly, shaking) with experience and “Watts”, an in-game currency. For some, the Pokewalker will bring back much nostalgia for their old Pokémon Pikachu, more or less a Tamagotchi pedometer.

This more or less confirms that the Pokewalker will be available worldwide, but Europe and Australia will just have to wait to be sure.
