Borderlands patch to 1.01 for PC available

Update: After having installed the patch, a couple of pieces of advice. Firstly, the patch seems to enable aim assist. Secondly, people are encountering shader errors and random horizontal lines appearing. In this case, an apparent temporary fix is to turn dynamic shaders off and on again.

Owners of Borderlands on the PC have finally received the promised patch, which resolves a number of issues with the game, which were either fixed over a week ago for console versions, or were exclusive to the PC. The fixes include the rather bothersome bug where players could lose all of their progress after leaving a co-operative game, a fix for Lilith’s Phase Strike ability, and upgrades to the voice chat functionality.

The patch is available to download for those who purchased the game at retail here, along with the patch notes (included after the jump). Steam (and other digital services) users will receive the update automatically, which is how I stumbled across this news in the first place.
