Uncut Left 4 Dead 2 release again denied in Australia
Bad news for Australians with any hope of seeing the full, uncut version of Left 4 Dead 2 hit their shores, with the Classification Review Board today announcing that the game in its original form has been again refused classification. As a result, only the cut-down version will see release with an MA 15+ classification.
The Board claims that the “game contains a level of violence which is high in impact, prolonged, repeated frequently and realistic within the context of the game.” Australian gamers will now no doubt seek means of obtaining the uncut game, either by physically importing from foreign stores or trying to download it from a foreign Steam store.
